There are many reasons why many of us are interested in making a living online, rather than in a traditional brick and mortar company.

The biggest reason why online entrepreneurship is a growing interest is that it requires extremely minimal startup funding. Take any startup company, even a small shop at your local shopping mall, those business owners are spending thousands to get into the building, that’s before spending any money on their products!

If you want to be an online entrepreneur, there are a few key elements that you’ll need to get started. Anyone online should start by creating a blog. This allows you to quickly and easily begin making a name for yourself. When you start off, it’s unlikely that you’ll have much or any traffic, so you might just be writing to yourself. That’s okay! Keep on writing because every blog post will be saved and when you do begin receiving traffic, those people will go back and read them.

How many of you prefer downloading movies from the internet compared to buying them from the store? And how many of you have long forgotten the habit of twisting the telephone cord around your fingers while you gleefully chatted away with your friend; perhaps because it’s so much convenient now to log on to your Facebook account and engage with your friends online? There’s no denying that internet has revolutionized the way we live. We all know it and we accept it.

However, there’s a new concept the internet is shaping up that not many people have yet accepted: web entrepreneurship. It can be in the form of trying to generate revenues from your own blog to a more serious approach of launching a full-service company online. The reason why this topic is hot for debate is perhaps some people are still to believe the possibilities of such a domain. Agreed that making money on the web is possible; agreed that it gives you a horizon of opportunities for making money online at the virtue of your home office.
